Universities announce back-to-school requirements

AS the fall term is around the corner, the city’s universities have announced return dates and pandemic control and prevention requirements to ensure a safe return for all students.

Hong Kong Chinese University, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ) said that registration for freshmen and a part of the new masters’ students will be Monday and Tuesday. The registration for another unit of first-year graduate students will start from Sept. 2 to 3. Senior-year undergraduates and graduate students will return to campus from Monday to Sept. 6. All students are required to apply for a campus entrance permit two working days before arrival via the “参观港中深” minprogram. Students will be allowed to enter the campus by presenting their health code, travel record code and entrance permit.

Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen (HITSZ) will arrange its students to return in three groups between Thursday and Sept. 9.

In Shenzhen University (SZU), senior-year students of the College of Economics, Law School, and College of Management have returned to the campus. Other students will return to school in two batches before Sept. 11. SZU students who have travel history in medium-risk regions need to go back to campus Aug. 30.

Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) will start its new semester Sept. 6. Undergraduate freshmen and fresh graduate students have finished registration, while senior-year undergraduates and master students will return next week. Return dates for international students and exchange students will be notified later. Eligible students must provide “粤康码, ” travel record codes and negative results of nucleic acid tests taken within 48 hours before arrival.

Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) has arranged students to register at campus before Sept. 11. All SZTU students who have travel history in other provinces and travel from other provinces are required to take nucleic acid test upon arrival.

Students of Shenzhen Polytechnic are required to upload their health code and travel record code to “i深职” app to apply for a return permit.

Students of Shenzhen Institute & Information Technology will return to school in two groups over this weekend.

All students of seven schools are subjected to pandemic prevention and control requirements and students who have travel history in medium- and high-risk cities and regions shall not return to campus yet.
