E-bike violation

E-BIKERS will be fined 500 yuan (US$77.25) for riding illegally modified e-bikes on roads, with modifications including installing umbrellas, according to the city’s traffic regulation.

Many citizens complained that they were hit by e-bike umbrellas, with some almost poked in the eye, which is very dangerous, according to Shenzhen Evening News.

Passenger delays train

A 62-YEAR-OLD passenger, surnamed Liang, was trying to block a train’s door from closing with his leg when the alarmed sounded at Pingshan Railway Station on Wednesday.

Although Liang moved his leg away after being warned by railway staff, he was fined 1,000 yuan for violating railway safety regulations and causing a seven-minute delay.
