Martyrs coming back home
    2021-09-02  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A staffer works at a ceremony to lay the remains of 109 Chinese soldiers killed in the 1950-53 Korean War in coffins in Incheon, South Korea, yesterday. The remains and 1,226 related relics, which were excavated from six regions in South Korea between 2019 and 2020, will be sent back to China. A ceremony for returning the remains is scheduled to be held at Incheon International Airport today. In 2014, South Korea agreed with China to send back the remains of fallen Chinese soldiers according to international law and humanitarian spirit. From 2014 to 2020, South Korea returned the remains of 716 Chinese People’s Volunteers martyrs killed in the Korean War.                                                             Xinhua
