THE HKTDC GBA (Gunagzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area) Center in Futian District hosted a meeting Thursday afternoon to facilitate Shenzhen and Hong Kong enterprises’ exploration of the Thai market.

The meeting was one session in a series of salons under the theme “Into Southeast Asia” jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shenzhen Municipal Committee (CCPIT Shenzhen) and Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).

The Thailand-themed salon attracted a number of representatives from several leading enterprises in various sectors, such as Richful Deyong, My Super and MKD. Business, finance and consulting industry experts from Thailand, Hong Kong and Shenzhen were also in attendance.

At the meeting, attendees exchanged their thoughts and ideas on opportunities and challenges Chinese corporations face entering the Thai market during the COVID-19 pandemic.

One of CCPIT Shenzhen’s leaders said that the economy of Southeast Asian countries, such as Thailand, has gradually recovered from the pandemic. There are promising business opportunities in industries including medical materials, vehicles, new energy and agricultural products.
