Cultural fair

THE 17th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair will be held from Sept. 23 to 27 at Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center in Bao’an District. This will be the first time for the fair to be held in Bao’an. Total exhibition area will be 120,000 square meters, 15,000 square meters more than the previous year and the fair will be simultaneously held online and offline.

Open days are Sept. 23 and 24 for professional visitors, and Sept. 25 to 27 for regular visitors. Professional visitors can register for free from now until Sept. 15 and can scan a QR code to enter the venue for free during their open days.

Computer conference

THE 2021 China National Computer Conference will be held Oct. 28-30 in Shenzhen, according to a news conference of China Computer Federation on Sunday.

The conference will bring together top scientists and entrepreneurs from home and abroad, will include a dozen of lectures by special guests, three thematic forums and 111 forums and exhibitions, and will be attended by an estimated 10,000 people.

Ferry service

SHEKOU Cruise Homeport witnessed 5,000 people crossing the border during the first weekend after ferry services between Shenzhen and Macao resumed, sources from Shekou Checkpoint said.

Ferry services to Macao resumed Sept. 3, with 16 ferry trips operating between the two cities every day.

Joggers saved

ZHONG CHAOSONG, an employee of Shenzhen Metro Operation Group saved two joggers who fainted due to the heat wave during their morning exercises in Pinghu, Longgang District on Aug. 22. Zhong applied first aid skills he learned in training sessions.
