Bilingual reports

A TOTAL of 34 medical institutions in Shenzhen can provide citizens nucleic acid test reports in Chinese and English, according to the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission.

Citizens can search for institutions providing bilingual nucleic acid test reports through the “convenience services” column on the commission’s official website http://wjw.sz.gov.cn/.

In addition, the city now has 134 medical institutions, including 69 hospitals and 65 community health centers, that can offer paid services to people who need nucleic acid tests.

Pool water quality

THIRTY-ONE out of 301 swimming pools in Shenzhen were found not up to standards during the city’s second round of swimming pool water quality inspection, the city’s health commission said Thursday.

Six indexes – free residual chlorine, turbidity, urea, pH value, total bacterial and coliform count – were tested to determine swimming pools’ water quality. The 31 pools mainly failed the tests for urea, free residual chlorine, total bacterial count, coliform count and pH value.

Among the 31 pools that flunked the water quality tests, six are located in Luohu, one in Futian, one in Yantian, three in Bao’an, one in Longgang, 16 in Longhua and three in Guangming.

Postal service

SHENZHEN Customs has launched a medicine postal service for Hong Kong compatriots who are currently living on the mainland, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported. The service aims to help chronic disease patients and those who need their medications delivered from Hong Kong.

Consumption vouchers

LUOHU District has started giving out consumption vouchers worth 4 million yuan (US$619,200) to citizens for sports activities from Sept. 6 to Dec. 31 this year.

The vouchers, with face values of 15, 30 and 100 yuan, can be used for rent, tickets, training and sporting goods in sports venues such as Luohu Gymnasium, Luohu Sports Center’s outdoor playground and Luohu Tennis Center.

The vouchers are issued on a weekly basis and are valid for two weeks. Citizens can obtain the vouchers through the district’s one-stop reservation for public cultural and sports services WeChat account “罗湖文体通.”
