August CPI

THE CPI in August increased by 0.1 percent over July and 1.3 percent year on year, according to statistics from the Shenzhen Survey Team of the National Statistics Bureau.

Between January and August, consumer prices increased by 0.4 percent year on year, the statistics showed.

Passenger turnover

THE single-day passenger turnover at the Shenzhen airport has reached 110,000 trips since the beginning of September and the number of departing and arriving flights reached 1,000 a day, indicating tourism and business travel recovery, sources from the airport said.

Food valley

THE Shenzhen Graduate School of Henan University has officially settled in Shenzhen International Food Valley in Dapeng New Area.

Henan University owns 127 science innovation platforms in agricultural sciences including the national edible fungus processing technology R&D center and joint engineering labs of antibody drug development technologies.

Helicopter base

LOCAL residents will be able to travel via helicopter to other cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) in the future with the recent opening of the first phase of the Eastern General Aviation Helicopter Operation Base in Yantian District. The helicopter base will mainly serve as an intercity air transportation hub, an urban emergency response and management base, and an innovation platform for the GBA’s general aviation industry development.
