Ecological corridors

CONSTRUCTION has begun on ecological corridors along Longhua and Yousong rivers in Longhua District. It is expected that the demonstration sections will be completed by the end of the year and the whole project is scheduled for completion by the end of next year.

Longhua and Yousong rivers are Guanlan River’s first-level tributaries. Longhua River is about 8 kilometers long and Yousong River is about 4.6 kilometers long.

Road closure

A SECTION at the intersection of Hongmian and Ao’er roads in Longgang District was closed yesterday and will remain closed through March 13, 2022, to make way for Metro Line 14’s Aobei Station construction. Vehicles passing through the area must detour through Aoyi Road and other surrounding roads.

Nucleic acid testing

STARTING Tuesday, travelers from Fujian Province to Shenzhen are required to take nucleic acid tests upon arrival, according to the city’s transport bureau.

Train passengers from Fujian arriving at Shenzhen North Railway Station, Pingshan Station, Guangmingcheng Station and Houmen Station must undergo testing at any of the seven testing points and 17 testing groups at each station.

All air travelers from Fujian arriving at the Shenzhen airport must undergo free nucleic acid tests in addition to having health codes and body temperatures checked.

Air raid sirens

SHENZHEN will test air defense alarms or air raid sirens between 10:40 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday. The test will be divided into three stages including advance warning, air raid warning and disalarming. Each siren will last 3 minutes and be spaced between 4 and 7 minutes, according to the city’s civil defense commanding information center.
