THE UNESCO Second High-Level Forum on Museums, a sideline event of the 17th ICIF, will be held online and on-site in Shenzhen tomorrow and Friday, its sponsor Shenzhen Zhizheng Museum has announced.

The event, entitled “Facing Post-Pandemic Challenges through Innovation and Inclusiveness,” is in line with UNESCO’s ongoing efforts to support museums and will discuss this vital sector’s future. It aims to raise the awareness of museums’ importance to societies and their vulnerability to pandemics, crises and conflicts.

UNESCO officials will attend the forum and deliver speeches. In addition, world-famous museum representatives, including China’s Palace Museum, Barbados Museum & Historical Society, the Louvre Museum of France, and Horniman Museum in London, the U.K., will also be present at the forum.

The organizer will also display 100 artworks by well-known Chinese artists like Zhang Daqian, Qi Baishi, Huang Binhong and Wu Changshuo at Hall 13 of the Shenzhen World Convention and Exhibition Center during the 17th ICIF to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
