THE 2021 Shenzhen Global Investment Promotion Conference (GIPC) has officially kicked off, Shenzhen Economic Daily reported yesterday, quoting the city’s commerce bureau.

Shenzhen GIPC is composed of one activity in the main venue, 12 activities in district-level investment promotion meetings, and numerous activities in overseas subvenues. Investment promotion events are also encouraged to be arranged in every sector in a bid to further showcase the city’s economic vitality, innovation, charm and investment potential.

The 2021 Shenzhen GIPC’s first activity was held during this year’s China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF). The event witnessed eight key projects signed on-site with a total investment of 3.2 billion yuan (US$495 million).

Shenzhen held the first GIPC in 2019, with 128 projects signed with a total investment of 560 billion yuan.

In 2020, Shenzhen GIPC set up eight subvenues across five continents.
