Training schools closed

THE Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau has closed 919 training school outlets and ordered 307 outlets for rectification in the monthlong inspections, according to a notice issued by the bureau’s WeChat account.

The inspections were carried out to follow the Central agencies’ requirements to relieve children’s schoolwork pressures and ensure their rest during holidays and weekends.

Typhoon on the way

SHENZHEN Meteorological Observatory issued a blue warning for strong monsoon which will affect the city Friday and Saturday.

There will be intermittent showers over the weekend and the hot weather, which had been lingering during the National Day holiday, is expected to fade.
