Nanshan Museum

Shenzheners can admire rarely seen relics from ancient Syria at the “Incredible Syria” exhibition running until Nov. 7. Meanwhile, Han Dynasty (202 B.C-A.D. 220) relics from Hebei Province are also on display until Nov. 28.

Exhibitions on memory

Two contemporary art exhibitions, “The Arts of Memory” (until Nov. 11) and “The Memory Palace” (until Nov. 21), are being held at OCAT Shenzhen and OCT Art & Design Gallery respectively, focusing on how artists express the concept of memory in their works.

Sea World

Argentine conceptual artist Leandro Erlich has brought his 12 installations for visitors at “The Confines of the Great Void” (128 yuan) running until Nov. 7. And Italian architect, designer and artist Gaetano Pesce is exhibiting his bewildering works at another exhibition running until early next year.

‘Boundless’

At the “Boundless” exhibition (118 yuan) running until Sunday, visitors will learn the development of the world space industry including China’s latest achievements and can play in several immersive virtual space areas.

Venue: Art Center, Level B1, China Resources Tower, Nanshan District (南山区中国华润大厦B1层美术馆)

Metro: Line 2 or 11 to Houhai Station (后海站), Exit G

Artworks in Dawan

The Dawan Ancestral Residence has been decorated with contemporary artworks by Chinese artists including Deng Chunru, Jiu Society and Dai Yun. The residence built in 1791 is one of the largest Hakka compounds in China. It was placed on Guangdong Province’s list of protected historical sites in 2002. The exhibition runs until this Sunday.

Venue: Dawan Ancestral Residence, Pingshan District (坪山区大万世居)

Transport: Take the high-speed rail from Shenzhen North Station to Pingshan Station and then take a taxi (SD News)
