Veteran Chinese photographer Zhu Xianmin is exhibiting his photos at an exhibition in Guangming District. Born in 1943, Zhu has been a documentary photographer since 1965 and his works were highly praised by Henri Cartier-Bresson. Zhu focuses on common people and visitors can feel the changes of time from his photos. “Being a photographer, I have been continuously in quest of my goal to manifest my understanding of life and everyday events by means of documentary photography. As long as my works could possibly provide people with thoughts and a released mind, I feel satisfied,” he said. Zhu’s photos have been collected by the Swiss Foundation of Photography and were exhibited at La Chambre in France in 2018.
