Guo State Museum relics

Relics on loan from the Guo State Museum which was built on the burial ground of the Guo State in the Zhou Dynasty (1046-256 B.C.) in Henan Province are on display until May 15.

‘Boomerang’

Art lovers now can take time to view about 100 contemporary artworks created by 70 artists during the “Boomerang — OCAT Biennale 2021” at three venues. The biennale, running until May 22, uses boomerang as its theme to reflect forces and counter forces. Chief curator Feng Boyi invited 11 curators to curate 10 sections of the biennale.

Lantern show

The beautiful Zigong Lantern Show (49.9 yuan), the best of its kind in China, lights up Splendid China until March 8 to welcome the festive season. Covering 300,000 square meters, the lantern show features a food street and 108 sets of lights created by 200 craft masters. The Zigong Lantern Show, originating from Zigong in Sichuan Province, is famous for its grand and comprehensive display of lanterns and has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage item.

Huang Rui’s works

Huang Rui, one of China’s most influential contemporary artists and a founder of the “Stars Art Exhibition” and the 798 Art District, is exhibiting his artworks at an exhibition (68 yuan) until Feb. 27.
