The MixC

A giant light installation inspired by the Song Dynasty (960-1279) painting “A Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains” by Wang Ximeng now decorates the façade of The MixC shopping mall. The huge light work gives passers-by an immersive experience of the magnificent rivers and mountains.

Venue: The MixC, Luohu District (罗湖区万象城)

Metro: Line 1 or 2 to Grand Theater Station (大剧院站), Exit F and then walk southward for 10 minutes

Sea World

Italian architect, designer and artist Gaetano Pesce is exhibiting his bewildering works at an exhibition (98 yuan) until Feb. 27. Meanwhile, “The Way in Patterns,” until Feb. 12, is a dazzling free exhibition featuring VR and AR renderings of beautiful patterns on relics and artworks from the Forbidden City in Beijing. And French luxury jewelry brand Van Cleef & Arpels has brought more than 80 jewelry pieces from its patrimony collection and archives to an exhibition running until Feb. 28.

‘Futuristic Aesthetics’

The MixC Qianhai is presenting the “Futuristic Aesthetics” exhibition until March 3. Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama, known for his feminine robot sculptures, has brought a giant T-rex sculpture. Australian company ENESS has created “The Airship Orchestra,” reinvigorating the shopping mall with a spectacular immersive art experience.Venue: The MixC Qianhai, Guiwan Road 4, Qianhai (前海桂湾四路深圳万象前海)

Zhu Xianmin’s photos

Chinese photographer Zhu Xianmin is exhibiting his works at an exhibition until March 21. Born in 1943, Zhu has been a documentary photographer since 1965 and his works were highly praised by Henri Cartier-Bresson. Zhu focuses on common people and visitors can feel the changes of time from his photos. Zhu’s photos have been collected by the Swiss Foundation of Photography.

Venue: Guangming Culture and Art Center, Guangming District (光明区光明文化艺术中心)
