Examinees and parents view the exam room layout at Shenzhen Hongling Middle School (High School Campus) in Futian District yesterday, one day before the annual National College Entrance Examination (NCEE), also known as gaokao, kicks off. Shenzhen Party chief Meng Fanli and Mayor Qin Weizhong made an inspection tour yesterday to the Central Campus of Shenzhen Senior High School in Futian District and Futian Foreign Languages High School on preparations for gaokao, requiring all efforts to be made to ensure safety, order and discipline at exam sites across the city. Some 51,200 students will take the exam this year in Shenzhen.
