COVID cases

SHENZHEN reported two locally transmitted asymptomatic COVID-19 infections on Monday, according to the city’s health commission yesterday.

The patients, one aged 49 and the other 22, both live in the east side of Xiangxi Village in Luohu District. They are the close contacts of a locally transmitted asymptomatic infection reported Saturday.

Both patients have been transferred to the city’s designated medical facility for COVID treatment and are in stable condition. Epidemiological investigation related to the new infections is under way.

NAT requirements

VISITORS to Honghu Park and Wutong Mountain scenic spot are required to present negative 24-hour nucleic acid test (NAT) results, according to notices issued by these premises Monday.

Dapeng Fortress in Dapeng New Area requires visitors to present negative 48-hour NAT results until further notice. Meanwhile, visitors whose mobile phone travel records with an asterisk are not allowed to enter the tourist attraction.

COVID policy

ARRIVALS to Shenzhen from domestic high-risk areas for COVID-19 and red and yellow code zones in Macao from June 5 are subject to a seven-day centralized quarantine and seven-day home quarantine, according to the city’s latest COVID-19 policy.

These arrivals are required to take nucleic acid tests on a daily basis in the first seven days and on the 10th and 14th day, respectively.

Arrivals from medium-risk areas as well as counties, cities and districts that contain high-risk areas must undergo a seven-day home quarantine and seven-day home health monitoring, and take nucleic acid tests on the first, third, seventh and 14th day, respectively.
