ROOTED in the fertile soil of China’s Silicon Valley, Shenzhen-based Audaque Data Technology Co., established in 2011, is dedicated to leading China’s data industry to reach  international level.

“We have put our mission into the corporate’s English name Audaque. ‘Au’ is for automated; ‘da’ is for data; ‘qu’ is for quality; and ‘e’ is for enhancer,” Jia Xibei, the CEO of Audaque, told Shenzhen Daily and other media outlets visiting the company Wednesday.

After several years’ unremitting efforts, the company has become a top data governance solution supplier empowering Shenzhen’s digital transformation.

“Audaque is committed to ensuring and enhancing data quality, and empowering China’s governments and enterprises to realize digital transformation,” he said.

The firm played an important role in containing the spread of the Omicron variant citywide by making three kinds of lists during pandemic flare-ups earlier this year.

The nucleic acid testing lists for residential areas under anti-pandemic measures, the screening lists targeting “key groups of people,” and the whitelists for visitors entering public venues were worked out by Audaque employees day and night with automated solutions combining big data and AI to enhance epidemiological investigations efficiency and reduce anti-pandemic labor cost.

“It is a race against time. Our goal is to help government authorities avoid bothering those people not on the epidemiological investigation list, and disturb those on the list only once,” Jia explained.

These solutions have won high recognition from government departments, but also were selected as “Best Practice Cases” in the 2022 China International Big Data Industry Expo.

“The government’s data sources are like islands, most of which are information silos, that are ‘discovered’ when built,” Jia said. The company has been devoted to standardizing the establishment of data governance systems and the construction of data governance integration platforms.

Shenzhen recently unveiled a 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for building an international new benchmark smart city and an exemplary city of Digital China, as well as becoming a global pioneering digital city by 2025.

With various data management and analysis tools, Audaque is working with Shenzhen’s governmental data authorities at all levels to help build smarter city governance, streamline government services, enhance the business environment and improve citizens’ livelihood.

Audaque has made innovations in the algorithmization of policies, management and services, as they launched the country’s first automated administrative examination and approval systems and enterprise-oriented services systems.

With such data governance reforms, university graduates are able to enjoy obtaining approval for household registration application in Shenzhen in one second, and a policy AI robot enables Shenzhen’s enterprises to receive tax preferential tax policies without application.

In 2021, China’s market size of data governance solutions grew by 20.5% year on year, and the figure in 2022 is expected to be much higher than that in 2021. Audaque has become one of China’s top five data governance solution suppliers, according to a recently released IDC report.

Shenzhen is a pioneer in the digital economy, and the added value of its digital economy core industries exceeded 900 billion yuan (US$134.64 billion) in 2021, ranking first in China. The city’s 14th Five-Year Plan proposes that the figure will surpass 1.2 trillion yuan in 2025.

“The digital transformation has become a global trend in the government, companies and the society, while the data governance is a crucial part. For Audaque, what we have done in the past decade has ushered in a more promising era,” Jia said.
