METRO Line 3 will end its service three hours earlier between Tangkeng and Shuanglong stations from Sunday to Aug. 30 to give way to the platform expansion of the Universiade Transport Hub, sources from Shenzhen Metro Group said.

Due to the platform expansion project, Metro service from Tangkeng to Shuanglong will end at 9:30 p.m. and those from Shuanglong to Tangkeng will end at 10 p.m.

The operator will arrange 80 buses to help commuters shuttle between stations from Tangkeng to Shuanglong. The operation between Tangkeng and Fubao stations and the rest of the line remains unchanged.

It is noted that the final train arrives at Tangkeng Station at 11:50 p.m. and the final bus leaves the station 10 minutes later at midnight. The final bus leaves Shuanglong Station at 10:10 p.m.

The Universiade Transport Hub, with a floor space of 160,000 square meters, will integrate three Metro lines — Lines 3, 14 and 16 — and an intercity railway, Metro Line 33, running between Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport and Daya Bay.

It will be the only transport hub in the city’s east where four lines meet, and it will enhance the connectivity of the city’s eastern area with Futian CBD and the Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport in Bao’an in the west, as well as Daya Bay in the city of Huizhou.

In another development, Line 7’s Shawei Station resumed service starting Thursday. The station suspended service due to COVID-19 prevention and control requirements.
