Eastern provinces brace for Typhoon Muifa as red alert issued
    2022-09-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Police officers help tighten ropes lashing cargoes on a ship in Baoying County, East China’s Jiangsu Province, yesterday as Typhoon Muifa approached. Zhejiang and Jiangsu provincial authorities are on high alert as the national observatory yesterday issued a red alert for Muifa, the most severe warning level and the first one this year. The typhoon made landfall in the coastal areas of Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province, at around 8:30 p.m. yesterday. It was expected to make a second landfall in the coastal area between Shanghai and Zhejiang today.     (Story on P4)  Xinhua
