Power use

CHINA’S electricity consumption maintained stable growth in the first 10 months of the year, official data showed Monday.

Power use rose 3.8% year on year to nearly 7.18 trillion kilowatt-hours in the period, according to the National Energy Administration.

CHINA’S home sales continued to decline in the January-October period but at a slower pace than in the first nine months of the year.

Home sales by value fell 28.2% from a year earlier in the first 10 months, compared with a 28.6% decline in January to September, the National Bureau of Statistics said yesterday. Property investment dropped 8.8% over the period.
