
Tidal surges Hotel food poisoning Health authorities in Sichuan Province said on Monday they had found a huge amount of nitrite* in food samples taken from a hotel in the province where food poisoning killed one diner and sickened 42 others on Friday. Chemical spill Ninety people have been sent to hospitals since Saturday in a city in Jiangxi Province after industrial gas leaked out of a chemical plant. The acid industrial gas burst out from the pipes of a chemical plant in the hi-tech park of Xinyu City at about 5 p.m. Saturday.
