Great effort for the coming Asian Games
    2010-10-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    谷晓禾 盐田外国语学校初一

The opening ceremony of the 16th Asian Games will be conducted on November 12 in Guangzhou. The whole of China is preparing for the Games.

To meet the people from all over Asia, as a junior journalist as well as a Chinese girl, what can I do?

Surely, I won’t be able to make some great contribution but I am trying my best to publicize the Asian Games to people around me.

We can see that even the street cleaners and the workers at construction sites are trying their best to make the city cleaner and build it in a better way. Ordinary people are doing whatever they can for the Games, showing foreigners the Chinese elegant demeanor.

As for me, I want to be an on-site journalist to report the Games and interview athletes. As we all know, China has the successful 2010 Expo in Shanghai and Shenzhen will hold the 2011 Universiade. China has become richer and more powerful.

The success of holding the Expo and the Olympic Games has already proved to the world that China has become an Asian giant. I’m very sure that the Asian Games will be another wonderful start.
