The Fifth Park Culture Festival
    2010-11-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    张馨圆 南山二外六年级(3)班

The Fifth Park Culture Festival opened on October 31 at the Shenzhen International Garden and Flower Expo Park. The festival will last six days.

Twenty-two parks are featured in this festival, held to welcome the Shenzhen Universiade to be held in 2011 and commemorate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the special economic zone.

We Junior English reporters went to the park to interview people. There were many flowers in the park and a lot of visitors. Before the opening ceremony, there was a huge music performance. It was spectacular.

Then we went to the English corner. The teachers asked some questions about the Universiade, and the children were very active in answering them and were given candy. We were so happy.

Parks in other districts including Futian, Yantian, Bao’an, Longgang, Pingshan and Guangming also organized some cultural activities, as well as exhibitions and some lectures. Children are welcome to visit the festival — I’m sure you will have lots of fun.
