Gigi Leungto hold Xmas Eve concert
    2010-11-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Hong Kong singer-actress Gigi Leung has announced she will hold a concert at the Beijing Workers’ Gymnasium on Christmas Eve, her first live concert in the capital.

The 34-year-old began her singing career 15 years ago with her debut album, “Love Myself.” She has so far released more than 30 albums.

During an interview with Web portal, Sina.com.cn, Leung explained why she had not given a concert in Beijing beforehand.

“I released about a dozen Mandarin albums, which I thought was enough to open a concert in Beijing. So when the organizer talked with me about a concert, I agreed.”

Leung declined to reveal details but said the guest singer would be an actor who collaborated with her in a movie. Since 1995, Leung has starred in more than 20 movies along with acting veterans Tony Leung, Andy Lau, Daniel Chan and Jet Li.
