Shenzhen expat talent competition
    2010-11-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    都美伊 南外高新初二(4)班

The first Shenzhen Expats Chinese Talent Competition was held at the Westin Hotel on November 7. Fifteen competitors participated in the second round. The youngest competitors were two girls — Carolyn, 8, and Thai, 6.

Carolyn sang the song “Jasmine.” She comes from Norway and has lived in Shenzhen for two and a half years. She loves Chinese culture and her favorite instrument is the Chinese zither.

Thai, who was born in Shenzhen, was a bit shy. She also likes Shenzhen and China. She has a lot of hobbies such as singing, dancing and drawing.

These two girls performed quite well. Finally, Carolyn won the ticket for the final competition. Carolyn’s mum thought the junior reporters’ work was amazing. She hoped her daughter could be like this, too.
