Scientific speech
    2010-11-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    雷雨墨 汪如玥 张芷雨 刘沁怡 学府中学8年级

On October 27, Wang Ninghuan, an academic from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a speech to the Grade 8 students of Xuefu Middle School in Nanshan District on new high-tech material.

Wang began his speech mentioning the first artificial satellite launched by Russia in 1957 and the first successful moon landing by Appollo. When the first dog was launched into outer space, the history of space exploration entered a new era.

Wang brought the students back to earth speaking of the difference between the magnetic suspension trains in Shanghai and Japan. Before the speech, most students didn’t know they were different trains and work differently.

The whole speech lasted about two hours.

Before the speech, many students thought it would be boring. But in fact, it was relaxing and full of laughter. It not only attracted students, but also teachers.
