Talent fair

AN annual job fair targeting high-tech professionals, a sideline event of the China Hi-Tech Fair, is offering 8,000 vacancies. More than 300 enterprises in bio-medicine, electronics, computers and IT attended the fair which opened Tuesday at the Shenzhen Grand Talents Market in Luohu District. Three enterprises, including Shenzhen Hepalink Pharmaceutical Co., offered senior executive positions with salaries in excess of 1 million yuan (US$149,250).

Innovation awards

THE city government awarded 50 companies and individuals for their innovative designs at a ceremony marking the end of the Second China Innovation Design Competition on Tuesday.

Ticket scalpers

POLICE seized 11 people suspected of touting tickets for the China Hi-Tech Fair on Tuesday and also arrested five pickpockets. About 3,800 officers are involved in policing the Hi-Tech Fair that will run until Sunday.
