    Software building

    THE Shenzhen Software Building, housing four research institutes including two national-level laboratories in electronic information and digital audio, opened at Shenzhen Hi-tech Industrial Park on Wednesday. The facility will be an important base for China’s software exports, according to Vice Mayor Yuan Baocheng.

    Desay opens R&D

    HUIZHOU-BASED Desay Group opened its R&D facility at Shenzhen Hi-tech Industrial Park on Wednesday. The company produces telecommunications, digital audio and video equipment, as well as batteries and optoelectronics. The R&D center will focus on in-vehicle technologies and multimedia video processing.

    6b yuan deals

    LONGGANG District signed deals worth 5.86 billion yuan (US$875 million) at the China Hi-Tech Fair on Wednesday. The deals involved 28 projects at the district’s high-tech park, digital park and low-carbon industry park, a news conference was told.

    Innovation center

    THE China-Finland Golden Bridge Innovation Center Shenzhen Joint Office opened in Nanshan on Wednesday. The center, a nonprofit platform financed by the Finnish Government, will promote cooperation between high-tech enterprises from China and Finland. Its establishment is based on an agreement signed between the two countries in 2009. The center will provide investment consultation and business services for Chinese high-tech enterprises that intend to invest in Finland and develop European and Russian markets from their Finnish bases.
