Guangzhou Games stuns Asia The opening ceremony of the Guangzhou Asian Games in Guangzhou on Nov. 12. About 10,000 athletes from 45 countries and regions in Asia competed in the 15-day Games when three world records were set along with 15 Asian records and 27 Asiad records. China topped the medal tally with 416 medals including 199 golds.
