SHANDONG Runde Inspection Technology Co. Ltd., Qingdao Agricultural University and Qingdao Haidu Group signed contracts recently to set up the country’s first international food and drug inspection center, to meet standards of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States and European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for the European Union. The registered capital for the project was 30 million yuan and it would ensure that food to be exported from China would meet the safety requirements of the FDA and EFSA. According to officials from the Chengyang District trading promotion association, the center would be the first of its kind in China to offer high-end services in international food and drug inspection, increasing the country’s exporting technology and credibility in government monitoring system.
