    ‘Gatsby’ movie

    “Moulin Rouge” director Baz Luhrmann is to shoot a 3D remake of F.Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” starring Leonardo DiCaprio in Sydney, officials said on Sunday.

    The movie would be based at Sydney’s Fox Studios and pre-production would begin in March.

   

   

    Andy Lau concert

    Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau will stage his “Unforgettable” concert on April 23 at the Workers’ Stadium in Beijing.

    The concert series, which began in Hong Kong last December, was designated to mark Lau’s 30th anniversary in the showbiz industry*.

   

   

    Berlin film festival

    Iranian director Asghar Farhadi’s “Nader and Simin, A Separation,” a drama that centers on a disintegrating* marriage, won the best movie honor and swept the acting awards at the Berlin International Film Festival on Saturday.

    A six-member jury led by actress Isabella Rossellini handed the movie the top Golden Bear prize and its ensemble* cast, led by Peyman Moadi and Leila Hatami, both the best actor and the best actress awards.

   

   

    Bob Dylan’s tour

    Legendary American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan will begin a tour of Asia in April with his first performance yet in Taiwan, organizers said last Tuesday.

    Dylan will perform in Taipei on April 3, a prospect that has led thousands of fans to rush the ticket booths.
