RAPIDLY developing modern agricultural facilities have broaden farmers’ sources of income in Qingdao.

    Planting peach trees in greenhouses, farmers in Zhaojia Village in northern Jiaobei Town can sell peaches for 20 yuan per 500 grams in mid April when the fruit ripens.

    A greenhouse with about 10 peach trees can yield more than 2,000kg peaches.

    The peach trees have blossomed.

    A less-than-0.1-acre greenhouse with tomatoes in Jiaolai Town can generate more than 30,000 yuan in sales volume at prime time.(Martin Li)
