A PROMOTIONAL meeting of the construction of Shandong Peninsula Blue Economic Zone in Beijing recently was the first large business promotion to invite outside investment held by Shandong Province since the zone was upgraded to a national economic zone.

    The meeting introduced 200 key projects, including 34 from Qingdao such as the Dongjiakou Port, new ship equipment, low-carbon industrial park, new material industrial base, Celebration City and creative industrial park.

    Among the 23 contracted projects, five in Qingdao, including the Fenghuang Island International Movie Center, Yurun International Logistics Center, Animation Legendary Sea Park, the Beidou Satellite Navigation Application and Binhai Holiday Resort, signed cooperation contracts with total investment of 33.5 billion yuan. These key projects will help develop the blue economic area.

    A series of promotional activities will be held in developed countries and regions, aiming at building cooperative relationships with international giants and inviting them to invest in the area.
