Awarding ceremony for junior journalists
    2011-03-09  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

On February 26, the annual awarding ceremony for Shenzhen Junior English Journalists 2010 sponsored by Jeja Century Optoelectronics Co. Ltd. was held at Shangbao Building.

Zhang Lin, director of the Organizing Committee Office of the “Shenzhen Speaks Foreign Languages” campaign, You Xingkun, director of the Training Department of the Executive Board for Universiade, and some school leaders and teachers attended the ceremony.

The ceremony not only reviewed the achievements the junior reporters made in 2010, but also set up outlook for 2011. With around 160 days to go for the Universiade, 20 junior journalists were selected randomly to make a solemn oath on the stage.

Ten best junior journalists were selected based on their network contributions, articles published in the Shenzhen Daily, attendances at training courses and interviews, and the comprehensive performance during interviews.

With the support of teachers and parents, the Junior English Journalist Program achieved great success in 2010. We will stride forward for a better 2011.
