HEAT supplies will be added to 9 million square meters of area in the seven districts in Qingdao this year.

    Among these, 6 million square meters are in the four urban districts while the rest are in Laoshan, Chengyang and Huangdao districts. More than 100,000 residents will benefit from the project.

    With help of the project, more than 500,000 families living in the old city areas will have heat at home.

    The city will also build heating networks with a total length of 420 kilometers, more than 60 heating plants and nine heating sources this year. (Wang Yuanyuan, He Jun)
