CONSTRUCTION of the Yunnan Road undersea tunnel has finished and it is now under furnishing and equipment installation.

    The dome of tunnel is painted azure blue so that driving in the tunnel would feel like swimming under the sea.

    Large equipment has already been installed inside the tunnel and workers are now working on the details.

    “We fitted white panels to both sides of the tunnel, which can make it more like the sea,” a worker said.

    Equipment installation started last year, and the power supply and drainage system are ready.

    There are sidewalks in the two main tunnels, which will help people escape in emergencies.
