Five-color flower blossoms for the Universiade
    2011-03-30  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    苏润州 天健小学六年级(4)班

On March 10, “Five-Color Flower,” one of the important campaigns for the Universiade, was launched in Shenzhen Civic Center. The five colors are red, orange, golden, green and blue, representing volunteerism, passion, ideas, environmental-friendliness and angels respectively.

We were honored to interview Wang Suiming, deputy Party chief of Shenzhen. She encouraged us to do our bit to promote the 26th Summer Universiade.

Guo Yurong, director of Shenzhen Education Bureau, encouraged us to promote Universiade-related activities on campus. Tang Haihai, vice director of the bureau, gave us suggestions on what we can do to contribute to the Games.

“Picking up rubbish whenever we see it and being friendly to all the visitors and athletes who come for the event and making them feel at home,” Tang told us.

“Every little helps. We can make our efforts to project the best possible image of Shenzhen to the world.”

The campaign ended with great success. It called for all Shenzhen citizens to prepare for the forthcoming Universiade. We will do our best to excel as junior English reporters for the Universiade.
