Fairy-tale dramas to be staged
    2011-04-05  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THERE will be four fairy-tale dramas to be staged in Qingdao this month.

Three of the four stage dramas, based on classic works “Sleeping Beauty,” “Snow White,” “The Three Little Pigs” and “The Ugly Duckling,” are scheduled to be staged April 9.

Children aged between 5 and 12 will perform in “Snow White,” a new version of the classic work.

Qingdao Drama Theater invited 20 families to visit the theater March 30, watching “Snow White” performed in Qingdao dialect.

The theater has created 29 children’s dramas since 2005, which have been staged almost 100 times a year ever since.

The head of the theater, Wang Ke, said he expected to increase the performances of children’s dramas and stage children’s dramas on a weekly basis, instead of the current monthly basis.(Li Hao, Li Wei)
