HAIER has started the construction of an innovative industrial park in Foshan, Guangdong Province.

    Covering more than 133.34 hectares of land, the industrial park is located inside Foshan’s Sanshui Industrial Park, which will consist of a market, manufacturing and logistics centers.

    The industrial park will be constructed as Haier’s export base in southern China, as well as its brand creation center.

    According to a plan, the first stage of the industrial park will produce washing machines and refrigerators while having a logistical function. This is scheduled to go into operation before March in 2012, which is to cover southern China and Southeast Asia.

    The industrial park will do its production according to customers’ needs, providing customized products.

    Besides, low-carbon technologies will be employed in the production of the industrial park.

    Experts said that, the construction of the industrial park represented Haier’s adjustment of its industrial structure to better adapt to a fast increasing global market share.

    Haier will also establish an innovative industrial park in northeastern China’s Shenyang City.(Li Hao, Duan Xiaodong)
