Low-carbon research project started
    2011-04-05  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A RESEARCH project on Qingdao’s low-carbon planning has started, which is funded by the Asian Development Bank.

The World Resources Institute had invited experts from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Renmin University of China, Qinghua University, National Development and Reform Commission and Ocean University of China to research the project.

The nine-month project will study the potential of Qingdao’s main industries in reducing energy consumption by getting involved with experts in environment, energy, renewable energy and energy efficiency.

In addition, the project will help the city lay down its low-carbon development strategies.
