ECONOMIC development in Qingdao has gone smoothly since the start of the year, with sharp increases in sales, investments, exports and a number of key projects.

    The next area of focus is on promoting the service industry, finance and logistics. It will also help solve companies’ difficulties in production operation and carry out development plans for emerging industries. More key projects will be introduced to the city this year and measures will be taken to improve residents’ living standards, such as curbing food price hikes, building affordable housing and schools, and improving food safety.
