QINGDAO Folk Art Gallery initiated its 2011 special classes for children recently. At the opening ceremony, 65 preschoolers at a training school presented the city’s Red Cross paper cranes that they made to send to Japanese children after the earthquake. Qingdao Folk Art Gallery is one of the venues to offer minors such classes, including free training in street dance, calligraphy and painting. It will also organize art exhibitions and bring intangible cultural heritage to schools. (Jane Lai, Li Wei) |
