Tsui Hark’s 3D martial arts* film, “The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate,” released new still photos featuring singer-actress Li Yuchun, sohu.com reports.

    In the film, Li portrays a swordswoman* who is born into a wealthy family. The latest still photos show Li in a broad-brimmed* leaf hat, wearing a plain colored, tight-sleeved coat and ankle-length slacks*. According to Hai Chung-man, art director of the film, dressing Li in such a way embodies* both mystery and fashion. It took them more time to design Li’s costumes* than all of the other characters.

    The film is loosely based on “New Dragon Gate Inn” (1992), a film set during the Ming Dynasty in the desert region of China.

    The star-studded* cast also includes Jet Li, Zhou Xun, Chen Kun and Mavis Fan.

    It is expected to be released during the Christmas season in 2011.(SD-Agencies)
