Wang Yuanyuan The new campus of Xin’an Middle School in Bao’an District will start enrolling its first Senior 1 students from September 1, according to Bao’an District’s Education Bureau last week. The new campus with a total investment of 140 million yuan and covering an area of 62,662 square meters will provide 2,400 places to high school students, said Tong Jinyi, vice director of the bureau. The school will start enrolling 16 classes of Senior 1 students in September. Each class will have 50 members. Located in the Bao’an central area, the school plans to have 48 classes for high school education with 2,400 students in total in the future. The school will also offer 900 beds for students living at school. There will be free wireless Internet access, solar water heater and energy-saving air-conditioners at each dormitory. Facilities such as a stadium and a swimming pool will also be built in the school. Meanwhile, five new schools in Bao’an District, including Pingzhou Middle School, Pingzhou Primary School, Songgang Experimental School and Longhua Gongcun Primary School, will be open by September. It is expected to offer 7,000 new seats in the district. |
