Museum guides students to explore history
    2011-04-19  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

VOLUNTEERS of Qingdao Museum recently visited Laoshan Experimental Primary School to explore the origin of books, history and culture with students at Class Four, Grade Four.

It was among a series of school activities to explore history organized by the Qingdao Museum. It featured experience and interaction.

Zhang Xinping, one of the volunteers, showed the students the history of books-from oracle bone scripts, bamboo books to thread-bound books, arousing great interests from the students.

Sui Yongqi, vice head of the Qingdao Museum, said volunteers of the museum would visit a school every week to tell the stories of books and teach middle-school students and undergraduates knowledge of currency and traditional arts. (Jane Lai, Wang Pin)
