QINGDAO’s top IMAX Cineplex opened on April 18 on Zhongshan Road.

    Invested by Hengdian World Studios and covering an area of 6,900 square meters, the Cineplex has eight screens with 1,628 seats.

    “We hope to raise our brand profile through the movie market in Qingdao, which is a well-known tourist city,” said the management of the Hengdian World Studios, the biggest filming site in the world and dubbed as “China’s Hollywood.”

    Besides the Cineplex on Zhongshan Road, the company will open cineplexes in the city’s Licang District and Chengyang District within this year.

    Local movie fans will have the chance to meet stars who shoot their movies at the Hengdian studios.(Li Hao, Wang Ping )
