FIVE electric buses started trial operation last week in Qingdao.

    The buses served on Route 316 that runs along coastal line on comparatively flat roads in the city.

    Each electric bus was fixed with about 360 battery bars. And the buses’ manufacturer provided three mobile battery chargers.

    To ensure safe driving, the bus has the function of setting a speed limit.

    And 100 e-buses can reduce 1,958 tons of carbon emission, 13 tons of sulfur emission and 12 tons of nitrogen emission each year.(Tina Chen, Wang Leijiang)
