Deng Chao,Sun Li announce marriage
    2011-04-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    邓超孙俪证实隐婚已一年

Chinese actor Deng Chao admitted on Monday that he married his longtime actress girlfriend Sun Li early last year and planned to throw a wedding party later in 2011.

Deng, who was nominated for best supporting actor at the 30th Hong Kong Film Awards for his role in “Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame,” told domestic media that he didn’t announce the marriage due to the scale* of the couple’s workload.

The couple were spotted* dating in 2006 after they starred in two TV romance series that year and in 2005.

Sun, 29, is known for acting in “Jade Goddess of Mercy,” after which she was promptly recognized as one of the most promising young actresses in China.

Her fame in China is mostly by virtue of the 2007 TV series “New Shanghai Bund.”

The versatile* Deng, 32, is also a singer and stage actor. He is now filming Gordon Chan’s martial arts flick “The Four Great Constables.” Set during China’s Northern Song Dynasty, the film is about four detectives with unique skills.
