QINGDAO has kicked off its seventh public reading month with a list of recommended books announced.

    One of the city’s key cultural projects, the annual reading month was started in 2005 and has seen an increase in popularity.

    Around 120 reading activities including book exhibitions and children’s literature forums will be held during the reading month.
